Tunnel elements built at Barendrecht at Oude Maas River, towed through Nieuwe
Waterweg to the North Sea, through the sluice at Ijmuiden and the North Sea Canal to
tunnel site.
Elements constructed in existing casting basin in
Barendrecht near Rotterdam. Elements were prestressed
for loading conditions due to transport. Concrete working
stress B35.
