Pile foundation to avoid differential settlement in silt and clay. After dredging the siltation
is severe.
A deeper pool inside the casting basin was used for outfitting, which reduced the depth
of most part of the basin.

Two Pontoons were mounted transversely on top of the element for lowering the
element onto its final place. Element was temporarily supported on one nose bracket at
connecting end and on two vertical jacks at the free end. Survey & control tower were
used.

No waterproofing membrane was used. Waterproofing concrete was designed to
prevent cracking, cooling of concrete adopted to control early age stresses and ensure
water-tightness.
Pre-stressed concrete pile foundation was used. A 3m long steel pile was coupled on
top of the concrete pile, pile cap was then connected with bottom slab by grouting bag.
