To reduce air-pressure during train transit, the cross section is enlarged and at each shore 3
air-pressure reducing shafts with internal diameter of 8.30 m within a ground shaft are present.
Tolerance of 0.75 mm during train transit was allowed
Large shear keys on rubber blocks in the walls to transfer loads and to limit differential
settlements
