Maximum difference of tide elevation is up to 8 m. Seawater with heavy silt is also very adverse
for immersion work.
FABRICATION METHOD:
Tunnel elements and water intake caissons were fabricated in
casting basin at the same time at right hand of tunnel axial.

The project locates in Hangzhou bay where sea condition is very sever for immerse project. The
foundation is rock strata. There are 2 large water intake caissons with diameter of 25 m and
height of 16.6 m also constructed with immersed method.
